While we all have a tendency to live in the moment, with our day-to-day lives taking precedent over that which went before us, it is so important to stop and look back from whence we came. For if we do not save those items that document our past, like our Keota Eagles, old photographs, old maps, deeds, wills, artifacts, etc., there will be no mirror on those years as we continue to look and move into the future. Every day our museum continues to grow with improvements. With new display cases, new archival boxes for preserving newspapers and photographs, a new room solely devoted to cataloged archival materials, and new cataloging software, it is hard not to be excited and proud of our town’s extensive history and the building that houses it. So take a moment to visit our museum, to sit back and reminisce over forgotten years or learn something new by leafing through Keota’s unique and wonderful treasures. Who knows what forgotten memory you might uncover or what ancestor you might have a chance to “meet” again.
